The tide table is a reference value on the West Sea 7-tide system and may vary by 1-2 tides by region. For exact tide levels and high/low water times, check the Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency (KHOA) tide forecast.
How to use
- Pick year and month — Choose the year and month you want the tide table for. The default is the current month.
- Generate the table — Press Show tide table to generate the tide, lunar date and spring/neap for each day of that month.
- Check spring/neap — Find the spring (sari) and neap (jogeum) days in the table to plan a month of fishing trips.
How to read the tide table and the standard
The tide table shows the lunar date and tide side by side for every day of a month. The tide repeats on a roughly 15-day cycle, so a month usually has spring (sari) and neap (jogeum) twice each. In the table, the 'Spring tide (sari)' rows are around the full and new moon when the current is strongest, and the 'Neap tide (jogeum)' rows are around the lunar 8th and 23rd when the flow is weakest.

What is a tide table?

What standard is this tide table based on?
It converts solar to lunar with Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) data, then assigns tides with the West Sea 7-tide system (lunar 1st/16th = 7-mul, 8th/23rd = neap, 15th/30th = spring). It can differ by 1-2 tides depending on the region.
How do I find spring/neap days in the table?
Look for the 'Spring tide (sari)' and 'Neap tide (jogeum)' rows in the tide phase column. A month usually has spring and neap twice each.
What period can I view tide tables for?
You can generate tide tables from January 2024 to December 2035, the range of the built-in KASI lunar data.
